Professor Paul S. C. Hsu was born in November 1936, with an ancestry in Qingyuan, Hebei Province, China. As a famous managerialist and educator in Taiwan, Professor Hsu is currently the Kao Reyan Chair Professor of Feng Chia University, Chairman of the Taiwan Institute of Directors, and Chairman of Chinese Business Ethics Education Association, etc. He is a pivotal figure in the promotion of management education and the transmission of business ethics in Taiwan.

Professor Hsu received his Ph.D. in management from the University of Michigan in 1974. He served as the Professor and Dean of the Department of Business Administration of NCCU (69-74), Dean of the NCCU Graduate School of Business Administration (74-79), Associate Professor of the Faculty of Business Administration at National University of Singapore (80-87), Founding Dean of College of Management at Taiwan University (87-93). He has been dedicated to the research and teaching in management for more than 50 years. He was awarded the 6th Management Medal by the Taiwan Management Association in 1990.

During his tenure, Professor Hsu also served as consultants for various governmental and commercial organizations including Standing Committee Member of the Academic Review Committee of Taiwan Education Commission (92-95), Chairman of the Board, Bank of Kaohsiung (95-98), Chairman, Chinese Management Association (97-04), and Counselor of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (93-10) and etc.

Owing to his high status in academics and extensive influence in business circles, Professor Hsu has been reputed as "the Father of Management Education in Taiwan". His research extends to marketing, strategy, organization, multinational enterprise, business ethics, family business, etc.
