A Preliminary Study of the Interaction of Chinese Sufism and Quanzhen Daoism
In terms of religious doctrines, Chinese Sufism and Quanzhen Daoism can be said to interconnect . In terms of religious self-cultivation methods, they both emphasize the elevation of the heart’s essence and the control of breathing and points on the body. Religious practitioners of the Kubrawiyyah and Qadiriyya schools also had interactions with Quan Zhen Daoists like Liu Yiming.
