During the lecture, Prof. Faith Chao discussed topics of community service, technology and the practice of humanism in pubic service to promote a better understanding of nonprofit work on education. Faith Chao is professor of mathematics at Golden State University. Since 1994, she has been actively working on building libraries in rural China. She founded the Evergreen Education Foundation in 2001, and has built nearly 40 libraries in rural areas in China, receiving support and awards from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
