Cultural China Scholar Program
Introduction

Cultural China Scholar Program of Peking University (“PKU Cultural China Class”, “Cultural China Class”) annually selects 30 outstanding undergraduates of Peking University to get the liberal education through such activities as additional curriculum, practice and visits while maintaining their current majors. Initiated by Prof. Tu Weiming, the Director of IAHS, the program invites renowned scholars from both home and abroad to improve all-round abilities of candidates within 2 - 3 academic years. The program is a experimental liberal studies certificate program for undergraduate students, and it mainly focuses on four areas: Chinese tradition, World civilizations, global ethic, citizenship in practice. The courses to include close reading, lectures, general studies, service-learning, etc.
