The dialogue was hosted by Prof. Zhou Qifeng, President of Peking University. Profs. Tu Weiming and Fan Zeng discussed matters relating to Chinese culture and characteristics of Chinese art. The program was broadcasted by Beijing Television (BTV), and published as Tian yu ren (Beijing: Beijing daxue chubanshe, 2010). Fan Zeng is a renowned Chinese painter and calligrapher. He is a professor at Nankai University’s Department of History and Department of Literature, and the founding director of Peking University’s Institute for Chinese Art.
