The IAHS invited world-renowned promoter of global ethic Hans Küng to visit Peking University. During his visit Prof. Hans Küng announced and advocated his “Declaration of Global Economic Ethic” while lecturing in the first “Xuyun Lecture Series”, co-sponsored by the Academy of Religious Studies of Peking University. Afterwards, Prof. Küng and Prof. Tu Weiming engaged in a session of dialogue among civilizations to discuss important ideas on religion, cultural paradigms, and the state of Confucianism in a global context. The lecture and dialogue were published in Renwen zongjiao yanjiu, vol. 1 (Zongjiao wenhua chubanshe, Beijing: 2011). Professor Dr. Hans Küng is a leading global public intellectual and professor emeritus of the University of Tubingen, Germany. He is a key promoter of the global ethic movement.
