Shanghai Confucianism Institute (Fudan University) was founded at Fudan University. The dean of the Tsinghua University School, Chen Lai was appointed as president of the Shanghai Confucianism Institute. Our vice dean Prof. Ni Peiming was invited to attend the ceremony, and those participating members are Yan Shuang (Deputy Minister of Propaganda Department, Shanghai municipal Committee), Liu Chenggong (Deputy secretary, Party committee, Fudan University), Jin Shengji (President of Korea Confucianism Institute), Toda Kenjiro (Chairman of Japan-China Association / President of Japan of Confucianism Society), Zhuxiping ( General Secretary of the International Confucianism Federation), Yangzhaoming ( President of the Chinese Confucius Academy, Yang Guorong (Vice President of the Chinese Association for the History of Chinese Philosophy), and professors from Tsing Hua University. Professor Chen Lai gave the opening-ceremony’s speech. Sun Xiangchen (Dean of the Philosophy Department, Fudan University) host the opening ceremony. 

Around 70 scholars from Shanghai, Beijing, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shandong, Guangdong, Hubei, Sichuan and Hong Kong, Korea, Japan,etc. attend the meeting, which is themed around “Dialogues between Confucianism and World Civilizations” and “Confucianism and Traditional Culture Innovation”.
